Autumn 2020 Editor’s Letter

Earlier this year, I left my office in midtown New York under the notion that I would be back in three weeks typing away at my desk. The lack of care and management by our leaders to control the coronavirus outbreak would prove me wrong.

Since March, like many others, I’ve been typing away at home. My #newnormal has given me a new perspective on where I want to take Young Hot & Modern.

This year has seen its fair share of political, social, and cultural injustices and positives. We’re not here to break the news. Our team is here to speak to those moments and provide you with the information and tips you need to make sense of it all.

We’re still a publication that “serves as the go-to destination for the modern woman seeking real and relatable” insights and entertainment. As we draw close to the end of 2020, let’s make the most of it.

From the best lightweight sunscreens to motivational Spotify playlists and easy to make dishes to clean water initiatives, our team is pumped to keep bringing you the stories you love to read. Our new website is geared to help you find those gems, but you can learn about the latest features on our site by signing up for our newsletter to the right.

Have something you’d like to add? Send us an email here. I know I hope to hear from you.

Until next time,
Yegide Matthews
