We’re kicking off the new year with a cozy and seasonal blogger collaboration! First up is Van Le of Forevervanny who gives us a twist on a winter staple piece.
“Whilst flipping through J.Crew’s catalogs from a couple of months back, I came across this method of scarf tucking. It was a sort of new and different way of wearing a scarf at first, but something that totally made sense to me right away.
With the amount of scarves that I own, I can speak from experience that no matter what method you tie your scarf with, this one will take you the least amount of time, and provide you the most warmth — basically, you just put on your scarf before you throw that oversized sweater on and that’s it.

When it comes to plaid and color block scarves, it’s ideal to showcase them over your ensemble, however, with so many basic solid color scarves in my personal closet, I’m convinced that this is the way for them to be worn.
I love that they fulfill their purpose of keeping me warm while providing a neutral layer at the same time. For this outfit, I was lucky enough to come across this silk one at J Crew.
It was just the right length and texture to break up this chunk of wool material of my coat and sweater. Still pretty much in love with my Citizens of Humanity Avedon skinnies, I knew that they would suit my H&M mustard mohair-blend sweater.
Finishing off with my new favorite (budget friendly version of my Jensen) booties and my PS11, I was all prepped for my winter shoot for YHM Magazine — and brunch too.” – Van Le, personal style blogger
