Fall’s Easiest Shoe Just Got an Upgrade

Fall's Easiest Shoe Just Got an Upgrade

If there is one pair of shoes that ushers in the fall aesthetic without feeling too fussy or too casual, I think it would be the loafer. While I love boots for moments when an outfit calls for a bit more polish, and I adore my sneakers for the days I’m running from the office to errands, loafers have easily become my go-to swap for those low-maintenance days when I need to bridge the gap. They’re refined but still easy to slip on and go.

All summer, I had to tell myself no whenever I reached for them, because I still had a handful of sandals I hadn’t slipped into while the sun was out. Now that the weather is starting to chill and our lifestyles are easing into pumpkin spice and cozy movie marathons, the loafer can finally make its comeback, for me at least. And if you’re like me, I’ve got you covered with not-so-basic and classic pairs for wherever the season takes you.
